FAQ

Command Buildings

  • What are Command Buildings for?
    Command buildings are the non-tactical support infrastructure needed to manage your Base's Joint Operations, Logistics, and Contracting. All buildings have different construction/upgrade times. You start off being able to build or upgrade only one building at a time, but may add extra construction/upgrade queues to your Base by hiring additional Engineers.

    To construct a Command building do the following:
    1. Go to your Base and click "Construction".
    2. Open the "Command" tab and find the building you need.
    3. Click "Build".
    4. Select a place inside your Base and start construction.
  • Commandant's Office
    The Commandant's Office is the main non-combat administrative operations center for your Base. From here you can change your Base's name and track your development statistics. Visit the office to view:
    - Information about Resource production;
    - Storage Depots and Field Kitchens capacity;
    - Ration consumption;
    - Base coordinates and development statistics;
    - the number of Contracts negotiated;
    - the number of Referrals you have;
    - Current Ranking points.
    Upgrading the Commandant's Office minimizes the construction time for all buildings in the game.
    After you have upgraded this Building to a certain level, you will need Upgrade Designs to upgrade it further. Upgrade Designs can be acquired from the Black Market.
  • Contracting Office
    The Syndicate's contracting representative has connections with every major defense contractor on the planet, but you must put your time in before you may take advantage of all their services (or bribe a contact at the Black Market). Visit the Contracting Office to negotiate contracts for new services, units, and buildings. Upgrading the Contracting Offices will speed up contract negotiations (Maximum level 20). Here you can also sell Referrals for additional Resources, or exchange Referrals for ones you need.
  • Command HQ
    Command HQ is the central point from which you will manage all your battlefield operations. From here you can track the movements of all your deployed forces, manage occupied positions, and keep a close eye on your opposition. The Command HQ contains several interface tabs:

    "Base" - Displays the quantity and type of Units currently stationed at your Base, the number of Units sent to your Base as Reinforcements.

    The "Positions" tab displays information on:
    - All currently occupied battlefield positions (Depots and Annexed Bases)
    - The amount of Resources currently ready for collection
    - Time remaining until next collection
    - Time remaining until the Base or Depot's storage is full
    - Number and type of Troops at each Annexed Base or Depot.

    "Garrisons" - Here you can view and manage:
    Units currently stationed outside your Base - Reinforcements at other player's Bases or Depots.

    "Tracking" - Displays Convoy and Unit movements to and from your Base.

    "Contacts" - Contains the list of other Bases you have interacted with in the game: Enemies, Partners, and all your Friends that play the game. To add a Base to Contacts use any of the following methods:
    1. Go to the players Base and click "Add to Contacts" next to the Commander's name.
    3. Go to the Command HQ, set the Friends, Partners, Assists, or Enemy filters and click "Add to Contacts" next to the player's name.
    3. Find a Base on the Zandian Map and click on "Add to Contacts" in the pop-up menu.
  • Logistics Exchange
    The Logistics Exchange allows you to exchange Resources and Referrals with other Bases. Here you can view existing exchange offers, create your own, and track your Convoys. Negotiate the "Heavy Transport" contract to build the Logistics Exchange. Upgrade the Logistics Exchange to increase the number of available Convoys. You will need these Convoys to transport Resources and Referrals to other Bases. Keep in mind, every transaction you conduct with other Bases will temporarily use one or more Convoys (depending on the amount of Resources transferred) until the transaction is completed.

    To make a Resource Exchange Offer:
    1. Go to the Logistics Exchange.
    2. Open the "Exchange Resources" tab.
    3. Click the "Extend Offer" button.
    4. Choose the Resources you wish to trade.
    5. Click the "Make Offer" button.
    6. Set the "My" filter to view when your Offer expires.

    To exchange Referrals at the Logistics Exchange:
    1. Go to the Logistics Exchange and open the "Exchange Referrals" tab.
    2. Click the "Extend Offer" button.
    3. Choose a Referral you wish to exchange.
    4. Click the "Make an Offer" button.
    In order to view Offers from other players, go to the Logistics Exchange and set a filter (All, Available, Friends, or My). If your request is not found, you will see an empty list. You can also use the "Looking for" and "Offering" drop-down menus to filter your search.
    After you have upgraded this Building to a certain level, you will need Upgrade Designs to upgrade it further. Upgrade Designs can be acquired from the Black Market.
  • Maintenance Shop
    The technicians at your Maintenance Shop increase the travel speed of your Logistics Exchange shipments with each upgrade. The faster your Convoys move, the sooner they become available for new transactions and emergency delivery of Resources and Referrals to your Partners. You must negotiate the "Maintenance" Contract before you can unlock the Maintenance Shop.
    After you have upgraded this Building to a certain level, you will need Upgrade Designs to upgrade it further. Upgrade Designs can be acquired from the Black Market.
  • Loading Dock
    Building the Loading Dock allows your logistics specialists to pack more tonnage per shipment on all Logistics Exchange transactions. Remember to upgrade it to maximize your trading efficiency. Negotiate the "Logistics Support" Contract to unlock construction of the Loading Dock.
    After you have upgraded this Building to a certain level, you will need Upgrade Designs to upgrade it further. Upgrade Designs can be acquired from the Black Market.
  • Joint Ops Center
    Build a Joint Ops Center to form cooperative partnerships and coordinate joint operations with other Commanders.

    From here you can make Partnership offers or terminate current Partnerships, invite Friends, and interact with members of your Combine. Forming Partnerships will give you partners with which to trade Resources and plan attacks. Units and Convoys moving between allied Bases will also travel at significantly higher speeds (max 1 hour to any location).

    You may also use the Joint Ops Center to organize and manage your Combine, view information about existing Combines, or create your own (see the "Combines" section for more).
  • Training Center
    The Training Center allows you to use Drill Instructors to improve the speed, production time, and Ration consumption statistics of your Units. To get started, go to the "Construction" tab and build the Training Center.

    Drill Instructors
    Drill Instructors are seasoned professionals that can drive your Units to be better, stronger, and faster than ever. The Syndicate will send you additional Drill Instructors for attaining higher Experience Levels in the game. The number of Drill Instructors you'll receive per level-up will increase over time:

    Levels 2 – 34/ 2 Drill Instructors
    Levels 35 – 64/ 4 Drill Instructors
    Levels 65 – 79/ 6 Drill Instructors
    Levels 80 + /8 Drill Instructors

    You can also get extra Drill Instructors by completing successively higher Search and Destroy Mission Levels. Drill Instructors CANNOT be hired at the Black Market or traded.

    After your one free edit, you will need to purchase a special tool – the Assignment Chip at the Black Market. It allows you to reassign your Drill Instructors in the Training Program.
  • Armory
    The Armory allows you to integrate Special Equipment items you recover from battlefield engagements into your operations. Your ability to exploit these may determine the course of your next battle.
  • Tracking Center
    Build the Tracking Center to manage strategic resource points in your mission area. The Tracking Center allows your forces to exploit valuable UN Munitions, Rations, and Fuel Depots. Upgrade your Tracking Center to increase the number of Depots you may occupy at a time.
  • Radar
    Build a Radar facility to gather intelligence about your surrounding area, detect new Depots and Zheng Shi occupied locations around your Base. Upgrading your Radar increases its range, allowing you to find additional locations of interest on the Map.

    Open the "Zheng Shi Forces" tab to see new Zheng Shi positions around your Base. This tab also gives information on Location Level, strength, and distance from your Base. From here you can also go directly to a Location on the Map or send an attack.

    Open the "Depots" tab to see new Depots around your Base. Use filters to sort Depots by Resource Type they contain or to see the vacant and captured Depots. From here you can send Recon Units on a Recon mission, send Offensive Units to occupy the Depot you want, or dispatch Reinforcements to your Friends' or Combine Associates' Depots. Upgrading your Radar increases its range, allowing you to find additional resource points on the Map.

    Note: Your Radar's Level determines the number and range of Depots it can find, not Zheng Shi locations.
  • Stock Exchange
    After negotiating the required Contracts, you can build the Stock Exchange.

    Once built, you'll be able to exchange excess Fuel and Munitions for a special Resource, Thulium: a metal which can be used to hire the Syndicate Tactical Assault Group.

    At the Stock Exchange, you can:
    - Exchange Fuel and Munitions in return for Thulium;
    - Spend Fuel, Munitions, and Diamonds in exchange for Thulium immediately;
    - See how much Thulium you currently possess.

    To build the Stock Exchange:
    1. Go to your Base.
    2. Click the "Construction" button.
    3. Open the "Command" tab and choose the Stock Exchange.
    4. Choose a location inside your base and begin construction.
  • Bunker
    Your Base's emergency survival bunker is a reinforced subterranean shelter where you may secure your fighting forces and Resources in the event of an attack. Units and Resources inside the Bunker will be protected in the event of a Raid or Occupation. All Units hidden in your Bunker will not participate in any battles involving your Base. Open the building to view the Units you currently have in your Bunker, add more, or return them to active duty.

    Open the building to view the Units you currently have in your Bunker, add more, or return them to active duty.

    All Units sent to the Bunker may also be managed directly from your Command HQ under the "Base" tab.
    After you have upgraded this Building to a certain level, you will need Upgrade Designs to upgrade it further. Upgrade Designs can be acquired from the Black Market.
  • Medical Laboratory
    You must build the Medical Laboratory to use and store Stimulants. Upgrade the Medical Laboratory to combine Stimulants of a higher Level. All Stimulants you gain are stored in the Cold Storage at the Medical Laboratory. To view a Stimulant's attributes, simply place your cursor over it. To use any Stimulant place it into any open Activation Slot on the Activation Board. Stimulants are permanent and will continue to grant bonuses until replaced or removed.

    After activation, you can move Stimulants level 5 and higher back to your Cold Storage ONLY with the help of a special tool – the Injector, which can be purchased at the Black Market. Attempting to extract a Stimulant without an Injector will permanently destroy that Stimulant.

    To build the Medical Laboratory:

    1. Go to your Base.
    2. Click the "Construction" button.
    3. Open the "Command" tab and select the Medical Laboratory.
